GRACE UNDER PRESSURE Excitement, danger, and falling for the man of her dreams all have Grace under pressure. Small town college professor Grace Michaels’ normally boring life has become more than a sane woman can handle. First, her ex-finance shows up in town, then her parents park their RV in front of her house. It makes it kind of difficult to seduce her sexy new neighbor, Sheriff Ren Morello. Of course, having her office and home burglarized isn’t great either, but it does put her up close and personal with Ren. Ren wants nothing to do with Grace. So what if he can’t seem to stop thinking about her? She is a woman who would demand commitment and after his nasty divorce from his cheating ex-wife, Ren wants nothing to do with marriage. All he wants is hard fast sex. The problem is, the only woman he can picture it with is Grace. When the threats to Grace turn almost deadly, Ren finds himself in her company more often than not, and keeping his hands off her becomes impossible. But as the danger grows closer, the attraction grows deeper, and Grace must choose between protecting her heart or her life.
Review: 5 Stars
Trouble in Texas y Melissa Schroeder is a two book bundle of romance thrillers. I have not read this author before but I really enjoyed these stories. I enjoyed the writing too. The author knows how to draw you in and keep you reading. Her characters are real and believable. There is a good balance of drama and romance. The author is good at providing more than one suspect to keep you guessing throughout the book. I was able to guess the person in one of the stories and the other one I didn't. I look forward to reading more books by this author. The first story is Her Mother's Killer and it is Duncan and Althea's story. They have known each other most of their lives. She is his best friend's little sister and he has never had any interest in her other than brotherly concern. Years later she returns to their hometown and he is surprised at how much she has changed. She is trying to figure out who is stalking her and she is not going to let anyone get in her way. The two of them end up working together to set a trap. The closer they work together the closer the two of them get. Will they be able to find out who her mother's killer is before it is too late. The second story is Grace Under Pressure and its Ren and Grace's story. Ren moves in across the street and is the new Sheriff in town. He hasn't been lucky in love so he wants nothing but a no strings attached type of relationship. When he meets Grace he can't help but want more. When someone keeps trying to put her in harms way he wants to keep her safe. Grace knows someone is after her but she doesn't know why. Could it be her ex that just happens to be in town and trying to get back together? Or is it someone else? Does she know them? Or is it a complete stranger? I would highly recommend Trouble in Texas to anyone who enjoys romance thrillers. It is well worth the read and you won't regret it.
